RSPB Arne - Poole - Dorset

Arne is one of my favourite places to visit as it has every kind of landscape, woodland, heathland, estury and ponds.

Upon arrival we chatted with one of the RSPB Officers and were given some good locations to see the target birds I wanted.

Species seen today 43 also Sika Deer everywhere as well a great many squirrels.

Noteables; Sparrowhawk; Kestrel, Spoonbill, Little Egret, Bar-Tailed Godwit, Avocet.

Others; Mute Swan, Shelduck, Gadwall, Wigeon, Mallard, Teal, Pochard, Cormorant, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Common Sandpiper, Redshank, Curlew, Dunlin, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black Backed Gull, Feral Pigeon, Wood Pigeon, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Chiffchaff, Robin, Blackbird, Starling, Pied Wagtail, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Tree Sparrow.
