RSPB - Isley Marsh - North Devon

Species seen 41.

A beautiful sunny day with a clear sky all day. Started my walk on the Tarka trail for a few hundred metres, then on to the Isley Marsh area. This site is not huge, however, it has different habitats, Mud flats, open fields, brooks, stone beach, sand banks and a small pond. As far as the eye could see were Curlew, these birds look superb even from a distance.

Notables: Spoonbill x 1, Little Grebe, Whimbrel, Knot, Little Egret, Oystercatcher, Dunlin, Redshank, Sandpiper, Wren, 50 + Curlew.
