Priorslee Lake – Telford – Shropshire.
Before working today in Shropshire a coffee stop was a layby next to Priorslee Lake in Telford situated just off the M54. Whilst waiting for a call from my colleague, I took a few minutes to view the lake which was covered in a very grey mist. Birds seen were Mallard, Coot, Great Crested Grebe, Herring Gull and Black Headed Gull. That was it and a day of business quickly then took over!
Draycote Water – Rugby.

Arriving as the sun was slowly setting, a quick walk along the Farnborough Bank produced 33 species of bird, the notables were; Small flocks of Meadow Pipit, Fieldfare and Redwing. On the water, Goldeneye, Great Crested Grebe, and a huge amount of Gulls, Black Headed, Lesser Black Backed, Herring and Great Black Backed. There must have been 10,000 plus birds on the reservoir and as it got dark there were plenty more arriving.
